Publicity actions

Plasma Nanofactory has made a strong effort to diffuse its results to the general scientific public as well as to the general public. The following actions took place:

a)  An afternoon workshop was organized on July 23rd 2015, with two invited talks: 1) Gas Plasma Liquid Solid: all together for nanomaterials synthesis, by Prof. Paul Maguire, NIBEC Nanotechnology & Integrated Bio-Engineering Centre and School of Engineering University of Ulster, Newtownabbey, Belfast, and 2) Surface modification approaches and applications of super-liquid-repellent materials, by Dr. Athanasios Milionis, Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering Department, University of Virginia

 

b)  PlasmaNanofactory participated in a workshop of another excellence project (HIPEFO) for food preservation (NTUAthens) and presented the atmospheric plasma technology developed in the project, and its potential applications in food preservation

 

c)  The team has undertaken the organization of the international conference iPlasmaNanoVII-2016, which will take place in Athens in October 2016 http://www.iplasmanano.org/

 

d)  The project is preparing publications for the general public to appear in the web page www.egno.gr

 

e)  The team and project results were presented in an Greek-Chinese forum organized in Athens in October 2015.

f)  Several talks were given in summer schools, and educational activities were undertaken for the high school and university students.
